My f-body car came stock with a transverse single muffler and I‘ve noticed aftermarket companies offer performance systems in both version for my car. Which is has a better flow design?Are there any performance gain by going with one over the other?
It really depends on the vehicle and other mods done to it. Sometimes opening up the exhaust too much will actually cause a loss in power. The manufacture of the exhaust you are considering should have some car specific data available and maybe even online.
