Question:

Whats best way to secure/lock hoods in 60-s chevys that open from the grille?

Put your hand into the grille to release the hood. What is best way to modify hood to be secure or lock it? I want to drop some expensive parts in, like an all metal radiator.

Answer:

Camden Town in North London or Tottenham Court Road [just off Oxford street!] OR you could mix and match from different shops! I bought a gorgeous punkish, short, black skirt from Bershka for ?5, black plimsoles from HM for ?10, skinny jeans from Primark for ?8 etc. The punk/ rock look is very in at the moment so loads of shops have clothes like that!
It depends on the type of system you have. If your system uses a keypad that is separate from the control unit, then destroying the keypad would not disable the alarm and may in fact cause an alarm to start sooner. However if you have a self contained unit that is keypad and control unit in one then yes, destroying that unit before it has a chance to alarm is possible. I have an all in one unit and it has an option for key fob remote which I have. This way I can have it set for almost immediate alarm when a door/window is opened without deactivation since I arm/disarm from the key fob and don't have to access the panel. I also have the panel in a remote area away from doors and windows because of the key fob.
