Question:

Where do they get the iron from, thats put into poly iron forte capsules?

I was just wondering if someone could give me the link to info on where the iron in poly iron forte comes from?! Thanx!

Answer:

You can buy the stuffing material at a Fabric store. Just push the new stuffing into the hole where it leaked out before and sew up the hole using a thread color that matches the dogs color. If you want to steal an idea from Build-a-Bear Workshop, then go get a little red heart (or just cut out a heart shape from a piece of red felt) and have your cousin put it inside the dog before you sew it up.
If you know who made it, you can contact them. There are also many stuffed animal hospitals I know we have several here in california. They are usually pretty expensive though. Or if worse comes to worse, if you or anybody else in your family can sew, you can just go to the craft store, buy some stuffing, and new eyes or whatever it needs and fix it yourself.
Absolutely! Get a large darning needle. Find someone who knows how to darn socks and have him/her show you how. Lay fabric over the worn off spots with some stuffing underneath. Darn around the edges. I still have my Mouse, purchased 47 or 48 years ago. It was white, once, but it has been re-stuffed.
All iron supplements contain elemental iron -- from the mineral. It's ground up (triturated) and added to the fillers in the capsule/tablet. Side effects include constipation -- it's very well known. There's a website called Medscape that can give you the details of medications and side effects. There are newer iron supplements available at health food stores that do not cause constipation and other adverse effects. I'd check them out.
