where in mt spect illnois area i can get rid of used fire extinguishers?
White light consists of a range of colors. For every wavelength, there is a different angle of refraction when it enters the prism. While passing through the prism, the colors will follow unparallel paths. But when they reach the surface going back to the original medium (probably the air) each color refracts again. The angle is the same angle, but with a minus sign. In a prism the 2 surfaces are not parallel, so the colors head off at an angle to the original path but the colors are again parallel. If instead of a prism, they went through a thick piece of glass, then they each return to the original compass heading - just offset to the side a bit.
$40 for a blanket against maybe $200,000 for a house, not much choice is there? Maybe you're too young to be left alone at home! If it did happen, and you poured water on it, you would probably electrocute yourself.
the fire blanket was made and bought to put out fires so i think this is a reasonable situation to use it on..
Not fer nuthin' but I don't think i'd bother. A moped ? You can't give 'em away around here. No offence intended, dude. Good luck though !
First pull the plug on the toaster so it doesn't keep making fire. If you have a 1 pound box of baking soda easily at hand (as every home should have) dump the soda all over the flames. If you do not have soda, grab a bath towel, soak it thoroughly in water and spread it over the flames. The towel will likely smother the flames but don't wait to find out. Grab a second bath towel, soak it thoroughly in water, and lay it out over the toaster. NOTE: This advice is with respect to a toaster fire that does not include cooking oil or grease. Look around the kitchen and ensure that the fire has not spread to any other surface. Be sure the undersides of cupboards near the toaster fire are not smoldering.
