No - the insurance company did not cause the fire. You'd have to sue the tenant; however, the CORRECT thing to do is file a claim with YOUR insurer and let them deal with the tenant's insurer for subrogation.
I have never heard this rule. I don't know the exact answer, but I would say that fluids could easily get onto contacts and into your eyes.
Im sure that every other stated is the same as Michigan where a search warrant is needed to remove clothing for a search, A female would have to be present for the search, and it could only be conducted one time. Or at least until the clothing was put back on.
