If in the written lease it does not state anything about appliances - particularly that a fridge is included in the rental, and, if it is true that the landlord by law doesn't have to supply such things, then you may be out of luck. It sounds as if the landlord is not going to fix this issue to me. If you do not have the finances to go purchase a fridge right now, go and rent one.
Its not really a mirror as much as it is a piece of glass with a very thin layer of aluminum, silver, or other silverish reflective material because the principal on which a two way mirror operates is that the the room on the other side of the glass is much dimmer than the other side and you only see your reflection when you are on the brighter side. This is because your eyes require that the object you are looking at reflects some light (unless it is black and reflects none) which your eyes interpret as an image but the two way mirror reflects more light back at your eyes than passes through the glass, causing the glass to appear opaque and reflective to you, but to the other person more light is reflected off of you and through to the darker side allowing him/her to see you. If you dont believe me then go to a car when it is light out and try to see inside, but because the windows are tinted and function as a very crude form of a two way mirror, you can't see inside the vehicle unless you get very close or make the area you are in darkes than the ambient amount of light in the vehicle. But if you go and look at a vehicle when it is night out and the interior lights inside the vehicle are on you will be able to much more easily see inside the vehicle because there is less ambient light where you are than is present in the vehicle.
