If he's that violent and your daughter fears for her safety then she needs to get an order of protection. As far as replacing clothing and other material objects she'll have to go through small claims court if the value was under $5 thousand. She will need receipts and the property that was destroyed to prove her side. However he probably won't pay her a dime regardless of the ruling. More than likely it's just a loss on her part. Her safety is more important than material objects. If you value your family heirlooms, keep them safe in your home.
A helmet, a jacket and gloves. They should all be made just for motorcycle wear. The jacket and gloves are for abrasion resistance in case you fall, which is more likely than you think. Just a low-speed fall in a corner, or in a parking lot. The jacket should be leather or some high-density textile made for motorcycles. It should have closures on the sleeves so they don't ride up when you slide. The gloves are important because when you fall you instinctively put your hands out to stop yourself. The worst part of a minor fall can be going to the emergency room to have the gravel picked out of your palms. So you want leather palms on the gloves.
new helmet that fits your head snuggly- not too tight that its crushing your head and not too loos that you can move it about with the strap tight. Dont use 2nd hand helmets as you dont know if they have been dropped etc. good motorcycle gloves, not fashion gloves as they can shred. Human instint is to put your hands out to protect your fac if you fall, so IF you come off you WILL use your hands to protect your face- so invest in good gloves. Sturdy boots,jacket and pants//trousers/jeans- ideally made for motorcycle use.
