Question:

Why are jeeps uncomfortable to ride in?

I keep hearing jeeps are uncomfortable to ride in but I saw one with nice seats and thought it looked to be comfortable. What exactly makes it uncomfortable?

Answer:

It really depends on which Jeep you are referring to, and what sort of tires and shocks you've got on it. But traditionally, Jeeps have been made for rugged usage, not for comfort.
The suspension system they are made to go off road so the suspension should be rather hard you will feel EVERY bump and crack in the road.
I would be willing to say the asker is asking about Wranglers. 1. What Wranglers came with all wheel drive? NONE! 2. 1997 and later Wranglers are coil suspension. How the F is that a harsh ride? 3. Harsh ride for the majority of folks is due to crappy maintenance and poor upkeep. 4. It's not a Mercedes. 5. Why don't you ride in one? 6. I can't believe I even took the time to answer this.
