While conducting this experiment safety precaution was taken by wearing gloves and using alcohol to clean the patient finger and also by using a new sterile lancets that was not contaminated .
Was it a bad fabric softener?
Winter tyres are constructed using a different rubber compound to summer tyres, so maintain better grip in lower temperatures. They may have a similar tread pattern to summer tyres. Snow tyres use winter compound, and in addition have a more aggressive tread pattern for better traction in snow.
It is very possible, however smoke detectors work best high on a wall/ceiling as smoke rises, and carbon monoxide detectors work best close to the floor as CO is heavier than air and sinks. The combined smoke/CO detectors should not be allowed to be produced IMHO. For earliest possible warning, a CO detector should be plugged in low to the floor.
It's likely just the material of the blanket. I had a shirt that was like that. It would literally shock me like every time I moved and so I just never wore it again. I'd just get rid of the blanket, so one likes getting shocked.
