I'm in a new apartment, it has three smoke/CO detectors: one in the kitchen, and one in each of the two bedrooms. The smoke detector, which blinks with a red light for smoke and blue for CO, has been going off a) Whenever I get out of the shower (the bathroom door is right next to the room the offending detector is in) or b) whenever I cook with the oven and dare open the door to take something out.And no, it is definitely flashing for smoke, not CO. Also, there is a detector in the kitchen that has never gone off, likewise with the detector in the other bedroom.
