Why is the Automatic Brake System(ABS) light of my Audi 80 car is permanently on?
They can not do anything with you in the car
Anti-lock Breaking System If the light is always on, it means the ABS is malfunctioning and is offline. You will still have the ability to break, but you will loose steering control if you do break (especially hard). ABS allows you to maintain steering control when you apply the breaks.
I think you mean anti lock brakes. If that light is on it means there is a fault in the antilock system. Could be a wheel sensor or something else. Your breaks will still function but you will not have the protection provided by the ABS system. If you hit the breaks hard, they will lock. You most likely will need to have the ABS system scanned to see where the problem is.
