its Metal Gear Series not Metal Gear Solid Series
not all new metal is rap mixed with rock. and most of the bands that started that way, arent doing it now. i like new metal. metal is metal. it all makes me happy and i think people need to get off the i hate nu metal bandwagon. give it up and grow up. a lot of it (but not all) is good stuff and very heavy. so if you dont like good music thats very heavy then you're not much of a metalhead in my eyes. now are you?
I don't really like nu-metal. My brother goes crazy for it though, he's trying to get me to like it too. So far, the only band that's grown on me is Rage Against The Machine. As for it being 'real' metal...I consider it a branch of metal, but it's a pretty weak branch. @->-->-
Metalcore is okay. I like some metalcore bands. Nu Metal, I hate. I really don't consider Nu Metal actual metal.
I think it all depends on your opinion. It's got alot of the stuff true metal has, just with other elements mixed in. It's nice to have variety. Really, though, the only nu metal band I enjoy is SOAD, not much for Linkin Park, Korn, Disturbed, etc. I'm not going to go around calling someone a poser just 'cause they like it and I don't care much for a genre. Besides, if I did that, I'd be calling some of the people closest to me, including my boyfriend, posers. Such blasphemy.
