Question:

why we use liquid in hydraulic brake system?

why we use liquid in hydraulic brake system?

Answer:

The liquid is pressurised hence causing movement in various parts
because liquid does not compress.if you were to use a compressible gas, you would not have the fine incremental movements of today's brakes.it would be difficult to come to a stop without locking the wheel.if You could use them at all
It has to be liquid which is incompressible compared to gas or air. Few bubbles in the hydraulic system would cause malfunctioning and the brake become spongy. That is why we need to bleed the system and get rid of all gas bubbles.
