I would check about the number I could adopt before adopting any more because some states and counties do rigidly enforce the number of dogs you own.No matter how well you take care of them. The shelters here in north Florida always are in desperate need of dog and cat food and blankets and padding for animals. Also volunteer time is needed. As dogs are needing to be walked ,cats needing to be cuddled etc. animals just needing human contact. I'm so glad you want to help these poor babies. I have four adoptees myself and live in the country also.

But do before the mail arrives, they will nab you as you either take delivery or pickup. If left on your doorstep, I don't think there will be any problem.

Check with your city and county governments about legal limits in your area. However, you also need to think about whether you have the time and money to provide excellent care to more dogs. 9 is already a large number to be caring for, and you have to think about things like what if you had a serious contagious illness break out in your pack? Are you going to be able to spend large amounts of $ at the vet for each of those dogs? Are you really going to be able to spend quality time with each individual dog in your care? And so on. Don't put yourself in the position of becoming a hoarder. It's tempting to try and save them all, but there's a limit to what one person can do! Yes, you can certainly donate money to the humane society. You can phone them up and make arrangements, or walk in the door and hand over a check. They are also often in need of other types of donations as well- like toys for the dogs, pet food, cleaning supplies, etc. Most shelters keep a list of items they need if you ask. You can also donate your time- if you have any left after caring for yours :) They are always in need of volunteers to help out with all sorts of things in the shelter.
You need to call your local humane officer and ask if there is a law limiting how many dogs you are allowed to own. You sound like you're at risk of becoming an animal hoarder and that's not good. You could easily go overboard. You can go to the Humane Society website and/or the SPCA website to make donations. -!-
