Question:

Yesterday I slid on some ice and hit a fire hydrant with my car. Dose anyone know how much this will cose me.?

The hydrant broke away like they are ment to the cop said. I need to go to court in a month for damaging public property and I was wondering about how much this will cost. The cop said the bolts are ment to sheer off to reduce damage. I'm assuming since its just the bolts and the top part of the pipe it won't be that much. I'm trying to figure out if its better for me to pay or insurance

Answer:

As this is in physics im giving the answer a 100 feet lightning arrester. XD
this is classic, more and more companies are doing this. in the long run it will hurt them.the loss of quality from the more experenced worker will take its toll.the younger workers work eyhics are poor when compaired.they use more sick leave and thier production is less.a company that does this will probley fail
That is weird Brendan. I know that companies are not filtering SSL sites, but not every site works on the port 443 for SSL. If it works for you then you are in luck.
The last company that I was laid off from was in 2003. This was a mega insurance company and with our severance package, they included the list of all of us (not by name), but of gender and date of birth, plus department we worked in. This was very smart, since they was notifying us in advance that of all of us, they did not just pick just males, or more older people, but could show that they did in fact took a couple of people from each department and show was fair and equal. Many times when they let go a lot of people, and with 200, I am guessing that all of you were put in a room together, so could see who else was let go. Most likely you looked around to see who else besides you, that you knew being let go. Did it appear that no one was young, that everyone appeared over 40? Then you could have a case of age discrimination and the company would have to prove that they did not selectively let go the most expensive employees of higher wages and benefits. Since you state you worked in a plant, are you union? If so, talk to the union about your rights. But if not union, other things to consider. If moving overseas, guessing the company was in financial problems and moving to save the company. Many times, when a company goes overseas, they save a lot, since they might hire locals making 1/2 or more due to the wage laws of that country. Case in point, look at the auto industry when they did it years ago. Benefits and the union in the US was eating them alive, so moved to countries where they did not have to pay or non union. Also, with moving, many companies do not pay moving expenses, so many people cannot sell their house and just move. Or even if they have some of their business there, they just cant afford to keep all employees, just to avoid filing bankruptcy. Most companies are at will, so unless you could prove age discrimination would be most likely the only cause to sue them. The fact that you worked there 16 years, would have no bearing. good luck
