im trying to build a recording studio with bamboo floors instead of hardwood floors.will i still get that LIVE sound with bamboo, or should i stick to the traditional ways of building? I feel in my mind that it wouldn't, but I'm sure that there are experts out there (means you) who can give me better insight.
Hi there, CO2 fire extinguishers are class C type which are only good for electrical fires. The following types of materials which would burn in a Class C fire are: ? Computers ? Energized or energy active electrical equipment ? Electrical sources ? Fuse boxes ? Wiring You should have a fire extinguisher rated ABC for general use as they are rated for any type of fire except burning metal, magnesium etc which would not occur around a home and most businesses. For exotic metal fires only sand or similar will work. To answer your question the answer is no it is only good for electrical fires But for electrical fires CO2 ( and halon ) are the best as a dry chemical unit will leave a residue that can be hard to clean. Yes. They are rated for all types of fire, but once you use one there's a danger of suffocation in that space.

Short answer is no, but small paper, wood, oil, and electrical fires they are very effective at extinguishing. They do so by displacing the oxygen. They will not put out a metal fire (i.e. magnesium or aluminum). But in reading the question they can put out some fires. But they can't put out ANY fire.
