Answer:

Coleman Wall Furnace
What can you do but try to seal off all those cracks where the wind is forcing it's way inIf you had an electronic ignition instead of an open flame, maybe that would help.
You should be able to follow your gas line from when it enters the furnace, all the way to the pilot light and thermocoupleRemember, you are dealing with natural gasAlways be sure of what you are doingIf you do pay for a service callmaybe chat the serviceman abit and ask a few questionsHe may be willing to show you exactly what he is doing and looking forOr he may take the appoach of not wanting to show you how to do his job because then it takes money out of his pocket.
This Site Might Help YouRE: where to light pilot light in older coleman wall furnace model 2425.? I turn knob and hear hissing sound but can't find where to light pilotanybody can help? it is older wall model with knob at bottomDo I have to remove any plate first? thx
Yes, if you don't have the good heavy duty, wrap it a couple times if it's the thin kindWrap it just like you'd wrap a hamburger (layered w/onion carrots) oven/pack or fish, basically it will do about anything a pan will do, you can do many things like this just make sure to seal it goodIf you want put a piece under it in case of leakageI guess you could open it up on the top if you wanted to brown your meat a little at the endYou know if that's all you had you probably could bake a cake, stew or casseroleYou could even broil stuff, just leave the top open! You'd use a whole bunch but you could do it if you had to! The possibilities are endless!!!!!!!
