My car‘s suspension is quiet coming from the garage. But after 10 miles or so, I can hear squeaking sound when I run on small bumps. The squeaking gets worse as I go farther. One thing I notice is that there is no squeaking when it‘s raining. Could it be rubber bushings? Else? Thank yoU!
Has your car got rubber or polyurethane bushes? the bushes polyurethane bushes tend to squeak a bit, worse when hot.
It is possible when it rains water gets to the outside parts of your car, even dampness can be troublesome, door locks getting stuck, brakes squeaking and suspension creaking, if you have your next service get them to grease the suspension, some cars have a grease nipple for greasins the suspension, if not they can usually hand grease them, try this, it may fix your problem it may even be a noisy shock absorber too. It is related to some kind of warming up by the engine or something that naturally warms up by itself (moving parts that have friction between themselves). When raining it probably becomes wet or soaked so that the lubricating film is created in there and decrease the friction and vibrations. So, it must be reachable for water coming from the outside - suspension.exhaust system parts. What could it be. One thing is partially cracked coil spring for example.though it should be noticeable much sooner than after 10 miles. Another thing is lower control arm. Maybe it is some of the exhaust suspension parts. If I were you I would try to experiment a little. When it is calm dry weather I would drive until that noise becomes clear. Then I would stop the car and pour some water on the suspicious parts (one at the time, beginning from the lowest) and drive. When the noise stops the last soaked part would be the trouble-maker.
