I bought a ‘97 Mitsubishi 3000GT with Yokohama tires. Apparently tho the tires were mounted backwards, i.e. the arrows on the tires showing which way the tire should roll when driving foward are pointing to the rear of the car instead of forward. This was pointed out to me by a mechanic also. So is this a big safety issue? I assume to change the tires back to the way they‘re supposed to be would make things worse? Thanks for any help.
it could be that your alternator is not putting out any voltage,battery might need to be replaced,battery cables could be corroded,or poorly connected,drive belt could be improperly connected hope this helps
all you need at this point is a tire rotation,,this should out them back the way they should be,,there probably not hurt any ,,as far as wear goes,,hope this help,s.
directional tires will not track properly in the wrong direction someone probably rotated them without thinking. just have them rotated back so they are in the right direction leftside to the right side and visa- versa
I believe the other answers are incorrect. I had a 1994 3000GT and 2 tires were mounted incorrectly by the factory. This is not a rotation issue. The tires have to be dismounted, reversed, remounted and rebalanced. If the tires are supposed to track like this and they are in fact tracking like this they must be remounted. See if there is a sales receipt for the tires. If there is, return them where they were purchased and have them correct this issue for free.
