Question:

cost compare to run infloor heat with a electric boiler to LP gas furance in MN.?

Answer:

a mix gas boiler is far less costly somewhat as that's a single factor warmth source that still factors warm water. New regulations eg the 'Code for Sustainable residences' ( by potential of which all government funded housing ought to comply) perspectives electric storage heating very unfavourably. It favours gas boilers plenty larger somewhat if used alongside with a renewable potential source for warm water EG image voltaic potential.
if u use off peak elec to heat the h20 it would more than likely be cheaper than propane, call your elec co,,last fall i was told that off peak was equal to $1.49 propane by my elec co,,i live near danbury wi.
We are in our first winter in a newly built house with infloor heat and we are happy happy happy with the cost of it. I can't compare it to our last house as it was older and smaller with oil heat (which is comparable to gas around here). I can say our house is more than twice the size of the older one, and we are paying less than half than what we were paying in oil. We are in Ontario Canada, so we get cold weather here. Hope this helps a bit..oh..it did take us a bit to regulate where the setting should be, but got it down now! (we also have fan forced air through a heat exchanger too as we have a multi level house).
