Question:

cost effective way to lift car to remove transmission?

I know there are full lifts that will raise a car 6ft in the air but those cost 5000 bucks. I want to know if there‘s a cheap alternative to this? Maybe lifting it on jack stands? is that secure enough and will that give me enough room to remove a transmission and install another one? thanks for any advice

Answer:

Conservatives, by definition, are people that support the status quo. If you look at events that gave one group of people more freedom, of course the conservatives were wrong. By definition, they were upholding the status quo and the status quo was broken. My point is that you aren't making some revelation to the world. Anytime there is a change in history, of course the people who were upholding the status quo were wrong.
What i find amusing is what you called conservative was the Democratic party. Since the civil war that party was responsible for more mayhem and murder than took place getting rid of slavery. Yet today to listen to a modern lib that phase of history never happened. As a matter of fact the Republican party was always the party at the head of the civil rights movement. The southern democrats did not move enmasse to the republicans.
A big resounding NO. Go somewhere you have access to an H-lift, unless you have a buddy who runs a Formula-1 pit crew.

Conservatives were on the wrong side of history on the following: The Civil Rights Act of 1964. The Voting Rights Act of 1965. Medicare. WMDs in Iraq, there were no WMDs found in Iraq. Health Care Reform. Making BP pay for the damage they caused. The need of a Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill. The need of a Comprehensive Energy Bill.
