Question:

Difference between axle types?

What is the difference between Semifloating, Three-quarter floating, and full floating axle shafts?

Answer:

i there any fluid in the wiper resevoir ? There are alot of complaints of wiper fluid leaks out on the internet for this make model. there seems to be a engineering mistake that causes the hoses to go bad.
Dennis was right bang on. whoever gve the thumbs down doesn't know much
A semi float axle supports the weight of the vehicle because of it's design having the axle directly connected to the hub. The full foater has a flange that bolts onto the outside of the hub and only drives the wheel and doesn't have to support any weight. It is independent of the bearing which is in the hub. So the hub takes the weight. The 3/4 is similar to the full float in that the axle doesn't take the stress of the load.the bearing is betwen the casing and the hub. the semi floater it is between the shaft and the hub. The full floating axle has a pair of roller bearings to take up sideload.
Sorry there aren't any sensible options to antifreeze, possibly your buddy needs to maintain his motorcar rather of waiting for issues to break. those coolant leaks must be more lower priced to fix than paying for a sparkling vehicle or maybe quite a few bottles of recent antifreeze.
have a mechanic wire up a toggle switch to washer pump so it will power up when needed . shouldnt cost more than 80$ with labor, or do it yourself its not difficult
