Hi absolutely go for it! Green smoothies are great for weight loss then help you mantain a healthy weight without obsessing daily about what you are eatingYou can do a green smoothie feast (no fasting here!) at the beginning for a day or 2 but the most important thing is to start your day with a green smoothie for breakfastThis will graduallys stop all cravings if you have them for sugar and cakes pastry fast food bad food etcYou'll get so much back in energy from the 10 minutes you spend daily making your green smoothie and your body will start wanting healthy wholefoodsYes they are super healthy- greens are nutrient dense eg the only foods that are highest in nutrients and lowest in caloriesUse 1/3 greens 1/3 liquid eg water or coconut water and 1/3 fruitPlease don't add dairy or yoghurt or any other processed things eg non milks etc- it only needs water etc to blendYou can change these proportions as you go making them sweeter at the beginning with more fruit or stevia then move to more greensUse fresh greens like baby spinach, add mint for flavourI always add 2 tablespoons of chia seed to the blender- this is really filling and hopefully you won't be hungry afterwardsI make 2 litres a day and I drink a litre a day for breakfast and maybe more during the day Check out ideas etc at my green smoothie website belowAlso look at Clent Manich's storyHe had massive weight loss with green smoothies going from 400 pounds to 170 in a really healthy wayGreat books are Victoria Boutenko Green Smoothie Revolution and Robyn Openshaw Green Smoothie DietGood luck!
From what you've described, I wouldn't think you have an infection at allInstead of drinking large amounts of water at one time, it will do your body more good if you drink water throughout the dayIf you're having constipation, water will help with this, as will a better diet that includes both soluble and insoluble fiberGoogle sources of both, they're in the cereal aisle and produce section of your market Another thing your GI tract needs is regular exerciseAny activity, a half-hour walk everyday, will help stimulate peristalsisGoogle that too.
