does anyone know of any locations to find minerals in Indiana?
depends on what minerals you are looking for. I have found chalcopyrite, and pyrite, calcite, even the odd gold deposit in the Wabash valley. Check the Indiana Geologic Survey web site (igs.iu.edu for more info)
I would drop the pan to clean it out and replace the filter. The next weekend or so, drain and refill only. Edit: don't remember if it has a drain plug or not. If not then buy a new gasket and drop the pan again
