I just bought a neutrogena age shield face spf 90 with good uva uvb protection. I cant live without suncreen because my skin burns and gets red easily. I put it on my hand and it looks shiny.
Usually smoke detectors can sense the difference between cigarette smoke and a real fire, so I think you'd probably be fine. All you can do is test it out (maybe when no one is home?) and see if it goes off.
It's carbon monoxide detector you need to have it checked it may have a hole in heat ex-changer. the reason the one down stairs went off is carbon monoxide is heavier than air. Very dangerous you go to sleep never wake up.
