Hey everybody... Looking to build an underground house of sorts. Always wanted to tackle a project like this. In Arkansas, what's a ballpark cost of having somebody dig a hole in the ground... 12 foot deep, 40X40 ft across? No transporting soil, just put it all in a pile nearby. Thanks in advance!
u need a front loader. call a excavator for estimates in ur area.
You would need to hire two machines to have4 flat verticle sides. A front end loader and a back hoe. I would take only one day and both usually are hired for $125 per hour with an 8 hour minimum. So your looking at $2,000. If you dont mind one side having a ramp to the front end loader can go in and out. Then you'll only need the one machine. $1,000. This time of year, find a pool builder. He's probably and slow, needs the work, and willing to negotiate.
