I have heard of The vermiculite incubaters, but i was wondering is there an easier way?
You can buy it from WalMart, but it comes in small bags is a bit pricey. Try a garden center if you need a bigger quantity. Be aware that it contains asbestos so you should always wear a mask when working with it until it's moistened thoroughly.
Yes that is one place or the garden section at Home Depot it is less than $10
Most garden centers have it. They carry horticultural grade and it's very fine. It comes in small bags, like a couple of quarts, but you don't ever need to use much of it. Use a mask over your nose and mouth when working with it, bad to breathe in any dust from it. If you use it all the time, you might want to stock up on it because it may be going off the market because of the cancer causing potential.
Check with a plant nursery - there's always the scare that it's mixed with asbestos, so maybe they don't sell it anymore...
Wal Mart,Lowes,Home Depot,Sams, almost anyplace that sells any garden supplies.
