Open your command prompt and type ping 12.129.224.110 and enter it. If you get the packets back, then its not blocking the server. If it is, then forward ports 6112 TCP and 3724 TCP. Oh wait, Mac sucks should've bought a PC. If its parent controls are anything like vista, then it's blocking the actual program from running. Reformat hdd and reinstall OS without parental controls if all else fails.
helmet jacketgloves there's a $1000 of your budget gone.. then when you buy a bike for $2000 the insurance for a new rider will be at least $500.. probably more. you may be able to get a deal on a bike/ scooter at a dealer all in package.. bike helmet jacket gloves on the road if you only have liability insurance it will be cheaper.. doing the MSF course is a great idea as well motorcycling isn't cheap when you first start out but the fuel bills are a lot less than the car so gets better as you go.. I always advise that you buy the best safety gear you can afford gloves are a must.leather riggers gloves will do.. local industrial safety gear shop.. you can get away with a good denim jacket at a pinch.. until you can afford leatherthe helmet is the most important bit.. so don't skimp here you can pick up an old bike in reasonable condition if you look hard enough.. An old CB100 honda or a 185 Suzuki but make sure its running before you buy it. repairs can cost more than the bike hope you find something suitable there are a lot of bikes sitting in peoples garages that they bought rode for a few years then just parked them up if you find one of those.. get a battery start it.. ride it around the block.. if it goes.. often all they need is an oil change.. new plugs points.. and a good battery..
