Question:

Hard drive data transfer USB cable?

Hi guys. I'm looking to buy a Cable that will allow me to hook one end to my hard drive and the other to a USB port to help me transfer some data between computer. Do you have to get a special kind for certain brands of hard drives? My hard drive is a Samsung Model HD103SI. I found one on OKorder and I don't know if it will work. Can you guys take a look at it please?Just copy paste eSATAp to 2.5 Laptop Hard Drive Adapter Cable w/ Case Laptop Hard Drive Adapter Cable w/ Case Into the OKorder search and you can find it. Not sure if sharing links to other websites is allowed.

Answer:

As John has said that is esata and not usb. Also your drive is a 3.5 form factor not 2.5. The adapter suggested will do O.K if it is not going to be a frequently used device. If it is you need to get an external case. If you want help for that ask me. A 3.5 drive needs an external power supply which the suggested adapter includes.
once once extra, Milk84 beat me to it. She's suitable, they not in any respect made a 10GB hard force. They did only are available in in 20, 60 120GB sizes. in basic terms use a memory card to modify what you assume you may want to protect. They did make a 64mb memory card too (I actually have one), yet once you're going to move truly some stuff, you should flow alongside with the 512mb card. solid fulfillment! Milk84, i'm keen on yours!
The cable is ESATA not USB. try this one
