Question:

Hello, Im having problems with a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, the braking system to be specific.?

The brakes are coming on while driving. The brake peddle is pumped up almost to the max by itself. I recently had new calipers and discs reconditioned because of this problem but it did not fix the problem. It does not happen all of the time but most. I would stop the car, back up several yards then continue, most of the time this works. When I get to where I‘m going, turn car off, shop, get back on the road sometimes I have to do this all over again. Senser? Master Cylinder?Thank you.

Answer:

there should be a clip or it snaps onto the arm. you may need to buy new blades . they will come with the hardware if it is needed. I did my dad's truck I thought I was going to break it but it finally snapped into place. just look at the diagrams on the new package you shouldn't have a problem. good luck !!
U need 2 go 2 Auto Zone have them run the diagnostics on it,if u have ABS brakes it could b any # of things.
i think this might be your pedal height sensor or maybe a brake hose is twisted or kinked, master cylinder push rod possibly
