Question:

hey! are you good with car brakes?!?

heres the dealsommeetimes they pretty much dont worki have to push down like all the way to bearly brake.and it will lock up if i press harderbut sometimes they work finethis is what im thinkingi think it doesnt do good in the mornings because of the cold weatheri think there might be some problem with the break fluid (wish i filled it up withnot leaking)please tell me what i can do

Answer:

because the mass ( and therefore pressure) is more dispersed (i.e. its divided by 8) as it is spread out over 8 points
It decrease the pressure of wheels by spreading the mass to all tyres equally
Here's what I'm thinking: STOP DRIVING THE CAR. If you have a brake problem, don't drive you are endangering yourself and others if your brakes fail. Weather doesn't affect brakes much at all. You should have good pedal feel regardless. If you are loosing pressure, watch the master cylinder and see if you are losing fluid. You may have a slow leak from somewhere. Check your wheel cylinders if you have drum brakes or calipers see that they aren't siezed up or leaking. If they are all fine, it may be the master cylinder itself that's gone bad. Take it to a shop if you don't want to do the checks or work yourself. For something as sensitive and important as brakes you don't want to second guess.
Depends on the type of car. if you have power brakes, the diaphragm in the brake booster may be starting to leak. It could be the master cylinder. They have a tendency to bypass from the front to the rear section. Now if it's leaking, then you have a totally different problem. Either way, do not drive it until you get it fixed. A repair job is still cheaper than a mahogany casket.
1. You have to overhaul the brake system, specially clean the brake cylinder and the caliper. Seems the brake piston is not working well by rust or dirt, the dirt and rust causing the piston movement isn't smooth as it should be. This problem may appear when you not running the brake inspection unless there is problem appear. 2. Another cause is the brake fluid is already expired. It mean there is a lot of water contained inside the brake line. This situation may cause the brake to lost it's pressure, and the water may the source of the rust at the brake piston. 3. A broken brake piston seal may cause the water and dirt from outside get inside the piston and disturb the problem, even the water and dirt might not get into the brake system.
