Question:

how do i wash the toilet rug?

you know the little rugs that kind of curve around the base of your toilet and a little in front?i left it outside and it stormed overnight and it blew off of the deck into some nastiness on the ground and its all soaking wet.can i just throw it in the washer? i don't want to ruin the stuff on the underside, like have it all fall off you know?haha i hope you understand what i'm talking about:/ thanks=)

Answer:

Washing those rugs in the washing machine is fine, I do mine every other week. Just throw it in separate from anything else and hang it to dry. Oh yeah and do it in cold water with NO bleach! Bleach and/or the dryer will cause the rubber backing to break down and start coming off.
In the washing machine is fine.
I also put mine on the delicate cycle because heavy agitation seems to degenerate the rubber backing faster.
I wash rugs like that right along with a load of towels, but hand the rugs to dry to keep the backing from peeling away
You can throw it in the washer. Don't put it on high heat or use the tumble dryer. That's what tears up the rubber backing. You should be able to wash it a few times before it starts to fall apart.
