how do u remove rear axle on grand cherokee and replace rear seal 2000 4x4 v6?

Answer:

you can try pepboys, there pepexpress can probably sell you 12 one gallon bottles for about 78 cents each. i use to work for that company and thats what we would sell it for since regular price is 1.19
if it don,t have an inspection plate then it,s the floating kind then all you do is pull the drum, take out the bolts and yank the axle right out but if it has an inspection plate then it probably has c-locks in the rear end. pull the inspection plate, take the small bolt out that holds the pin, drive the pin through part way ( not all the way or the ring gear will get stuck ) then pull the axle out. what seal your talking about? the pinion seal behind the driveshaft or the axle seal ? you could have 2 different locations on the axle seal. it could be pressed into the rear end housing or on the axle. you have to know where it,s located.
