How do you let someone know they are spitting in your face everytime they talk?

Answer:

Since you bought a new alarm clock that is more pleasing - then your old alarm clock is now history - what's the point in agonizing over something in your past?
It is the clanging and jangling that puts your teeth on edge
Men's health has nothing to do with this but.. AN ALARM HAS TO BE LOUD OR ELSE YOU WON'T HEAR ANYTHING.. I TAKE IT YOU WANT AN ALARM THAT KILLS YOU. really?

For the purpose to drive even the most stubborn of sleepers to get up. Some people need several of these types of alarms across the room so they MUST get up, and walk to turn them off giving them a better chance of not just falling back to sleep. I agree it can be overtly annoying, and is also something we inherently 'learn' to hate. It is what disrupts our beloved deep sleep we are in. We condition ourselves to absolutely hate the sound that does this.. simple logic. As for zapping your energy often I've found that we get accustomed to the sound and it will sound for a while before we actual 'wake up fully' to recognize it is the alarm. During this time while we are still sleeping, or half asleep we start a dream process/through process of resolving a conflict that is driving us mad. This is cramming in an intense math test that leaves you walking out of the class feeling like someone just hit you over the head with a baseball bat. It literally eats away at the chemicals your sleep was replenishing. Generally this will dissipate with a little time, or I've found just a 10-20 minute nap can often completely reverse the effect. This is my best hypothesis from personal experience and what I know of the biochemistry of 'sleep'. I don't think there is any absolute answer out there, we aren't quite that advanced when it comes to the body, especially the brain. Not so weird of a question.. a good one in fact.
