how does a fire alrm work?
2x4GB is better yes. Dual channel is like having 2 fire hoses on a fire instead of 1.
heater vents. buildings have muc bigger furnaces than houses (obviously) and they need to know where they are for maintenance
When there was some sort of a war on, the knights would go to the assistance of their lord with a group of their own men with them, normally from the lesser estates on their land or the local area or from their own peasants. These men who went with the knight only took orders from the knight and if the knight decided that things weren't going right, he would and could take off back home, taking his men with him. This knight obviously, wanted to keep his own mini army around him for his own protection and his mini army also wanted to stay close together as they felt they could depend more on people they knew. Peasants couldn't read (neither could a lot of the squires etc and the knights), so some pictorial representation was depicted on their shields and on a banner, so that his men could see where the bulk of that particular knight's men were likely to be found. They could then tell if they were being cut off from their own group and were in range of any orders their own particular leader would give. So basically, the shield designs were an identifier which is easily seen during a battle where faces quite often were obscured.
