yes its clogged and if you keep driving the car like this you will over heat your engine and you will have lost a very nice caryou can get a generic one maid by Walker for around $100 or you can do what I did and get a high flow converter maid by Walker it will give you better acceleration and better gas millageit cost me $175 but it was Worth itI have a 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix with 3.1L ( same car but different body panels and different interior)I would also see about giving your car a total tune up Like new plugs, wires, PCV valve, new O2 sensor, new air filter,clean out the throttle body and intake plenum, and also get your fuel fuel injectors cleaned by a mechanic they will put the car on a machine and it will clean out the fuel rails and the injectors as well as the whole top end of the engineit cost me $90.00 but the difference it maid was amazing my car now runs 10 times better than before I have MUCH better throttle response the engine has so much more power now past 3000 rpms and the best part of all is that the car gets 320 miles to a tank! and it has 165,000 miles on it!I raced my friends stock 2001 V6 mustang and I beat it by one car lengthI also switched to synthetic oil before I had the fuel system cleaned this also help out a little but the difference is no where near the difference the fuel system cleaning maidIf you decide to get this done then your car will run like crap for two or three days you have to drive the car on the high way for an hour or two and accelerate hard a couple of times and this will clean out all the garbage that has accumulated in the engine over the past 15 yearsMy car was blowing out brown smoke ever time I floored it the first day but the next it was not as bad and then after that the car just ran better and better.
