How long after it's sell buy date can beef chop meat be in the freezer and still be ok to eat?

Answer:

It's not the policy of any pantry I've ever worked with to provide clients with bad foodIf the meat is properly packed and frozen it can be good for a very long time: For longer freezer storage, wrap in heavy duty plastic wrap, aluminum foil, freezer paper, or plastic bags made for freezingGround beef is safe indefinitely if kept frozen, but will lose quality over timeIt is best if used within 4 monthsMark your packages with the date they were placed in the freezer so you can keep track of storage timesPlease don't waste good food out of an irrational fear or on bad advice.
The electric blanketETA I can send MrBoysrus your way he is a big snoring heaterHe can be there in an hour and a half from here to there!
I use the old fashioned method of heating up rice bags (cloth pillows with rice inthem) and placing them around my bed before I get inI have about two dozen I use, some for my kids' beds and some for mineI also put them in our snow shoes before we go outside to warm them upYou can make them really really easilyYou dont even need a sewing machine, just sew two pieces of cloth together, put in the rice (not so its stuffed stiff, but more like a bean bag) then sew it shutTo warm them up you throw them in the oven or microwave for a while, (if using a microwave, take them out every 30 seconds and shake them up to prevent rice popping) then put them in your bed, it keeps it warm all night when combined with your body heatYou can also use them on your body to sooth soar muscles and ear akes.
I agree with tidgie 10 electric blankets are dangerous, they cause alot of house fires this time of year.
I love the electric mattress padI don't sleep with it on, I just turn it on for about a half hour before I climb in and the bed is nice and warm to crawl in to, and I have enough blankets to stay warm until morning.
