Question:

How much does it cost to remove the anti-lock braking system from a Nissan Leaf?

I like the Nissan Leaf electric cars, but the anti-lock braking system has been known to have possible problems locking up. How much would it cost to have the system removed from the car?

Answer:

Impossible to remove. However, you might be able to disable the system by removing the ABS fuse.
You can't. No shop would attempt to. If you were to get in an accident after a shop removed the ABS, then they could be found partially at fault for the accident. If it is having problems, have the dealer fix it. If it is a recall problem, then it will be fixed for free. If it is just something you heard about, then it is just a rumor.
The system is completely inactive until it senses a slipping wheel. There is nothing to remove to get normal braking, to prevent the advantages of abs breaking when the wheels are sliding you only need to pull the fuse.
