Question:

how to fix windshield wiper fluid?

my windshield wiper fluid is not working and i do not know how to fix it and do not have the money to take it to the shop. it is filled up to the full line and there are no leaks in the line. i am guessing it is an electrical issue and my guess is it has to do with a breaker maybe? it is a 1995 buick le sabre any help is greatly appreciated.

Answer:

can you hear the buzzing sound of the washer pump when you turn the washer fluid pump on? If so, then the pump motor is Ok and you may just have a plugged washer squirt located either on the hood and on the wiper arm itself. Use a safety pin and insert the pin into the holes to clear them out. Sometimes dirt lodges into the squirt er. Also, if it is very cold where you live, you may have forgotten to use the washer fluid with a lower freeze point, so the fluid may be frozen in the lines. But if you hear no buzz sound when you turn the pump on, then the washer pump needs to be replacedgl
See if you can wire the pump straight to the battery, that'll tell ya if the pump is dead or not. Did you use GOOD wiper fluid? Even in the summer I only use fluid that's good to -20*, a chunk of ice will stop the pump or plug the lines, if it gets really cold the pump can freeze and it's got a plastic body so it CAN break. If the pump still works you could have a blockage at the nozzles, remove the hoses under the hood take a plunger to those nozzles and try to force the clog backwards through them Always read the label before pouring wiper fluid in it If it is a dead pump you should go to a good auto parts store and you can order a direct replacement, it's a lot easier to replace it with the exact replacement rather than getting a cheap aftermarket pump
Has it been cold outside where you live, and did you fill the bottle with SUMMER formula windshield washer fluid? If so, the fluid has frozen in the lines and the only way to make it work again is to get the car into a heated garage for a few hours until everything melts and starts working again. Next time, buy the washer solvent that is made for winter temperatures, like -25 degrees.
check your km or u can see it'z tread decreasing
