Question:

How to make doll accessories?

My niece has an American Girl doll that she loves, and want to make more outfits/items for herI babysit her alot, and I think it would be great to work on something with herI don't have a working sewing machine now, so I'd like to make little food or accessories(or basic, easy to make furniture)I was going to use modeling clay to make food or somethingAnyone know a website or have ideas what to make? Any way to make furniture or other accessories without lots of machinery? I can sew by hand, and we can bake(clay), paint, glue, cut, etc.So any ideas? Thanks!

Answer:

The Chi is, by farI've had mine for three years, and it's still going strong!
The CHI iron is the wonderfulit rather is around $one hundred fifty, besides the shown fact that it rather is rather properly worth itI easily have curly hair too and it gets it board immediately and that i take advantage of it enormously much daily and my hair is in super condition.
UGGHHH are you kidding me I just typed my answer and it got deleted AnywaysI got my straightener from Wal-MartIt's by Remington it's about $30-35It automatically turns off after 1 hour, heats up to 450 degrees and its adjustable, it beeps to let you know when it's readyReally awesome Theres also the HerStyle straightener which you can't buy at a drugstore and it's about $100-150 but it steam-conditions your hair leaving a silky finish which would be less-likely to damage itHope this helps:)
To make doll accessories, use cardboard from boxes for furniturecut it into any shape and glue it together with wood glueYou can then paint it like a wood stain, or cover it with coontact paper in wood, marble or colored looking finishesanything you can make with wood, you can make with cardboardWhen the firniture is finished you can put on a gloss finish if it was paintedFor food, bowls, flowers, clocks etc for dolls.get some Scott toilet paper and wood glueMix it and form the shapes you want, I use toothpicks to mold the shapesLet this mixture dry and paint it and glace it if you want a shiny surfaceThe Paper and glue will dry very hard and will be hard to distructIf you use clay, it will not hold its shapeThe items can also be painted with acrylic paint from the art store for color that will lastHope this helps you.Have fun with your project.Have a nice day.Pink Dove.
