one other thing,,,the 78 heads have considerably Lower compression on a 70 motor. Gas mileage is bound to take a hit,as well as power. You can Advance Ignition Timing to compensate. How Much? Crank the distributor till it starts pinging,,,then back it off a bit. Not very scientific,I know. Timing is Easy to change on those motors,,,,even on side of the road,takes just a couple minutes. It's all up to You of course if ya wanna fool with it. Ks to Seattle is a pretty good run,,,the gas savings might make it worth fooling with jiggling the Distributor around a little Good Luck,have a safe trip a Nice Holiday Season
