so im gonna do something for halloween and dress all like a black metal musician and the point is i bought a braclet thing with spikes but its way too sharp i think and school might not allow it and i think it be eassier to accidently poke alot of people with them too so im wondering is there anyway without destroying them to like unsharpen them a bit???
TENANTS They are inhabiting premises, have reason to know when the batteries are no good. . . .beep, beep, beep And whose safety is at stake?! Get the new batteries in place, ASAP! Generally LL is required to provide a working smoke detector, with batteries, when renting premises And certainly BOTH LL and tenants have a vested interest in preventing fires from destroying property WHY fight over a few batteries??

That is what fire alarms were designed for. You did the right thing (almost) There have been many tragedies were lives and properties were lost because someone was too bashful to pull the fire alarm, or they thought it was someone else's responsibility to pull it. As a long time veteran firefighter, take my word, I would rather go to your alarm, and track down some odor (maybe a bad light ballast), than pull up onto your building fully involved with fire and people jumping from upper floors. I would just suggest that in the future if you just smell fire, but don't see anything, call 9-1-1 instead of the alarm. I will result in a more appropriate number and types of fire apparatus being dispatched to the scene. Good job. Tell your boss a Fire Chief said so.
