Question:

is vermiculite poisonous for my ball python?

my ball python should be laying eggs within the next month or two. i was wondering if it was okay if i gave her a little box with some moist vermiculite in it so she can nest and lay her eggs in. i will be taking the eggs out after she lays them so i can incubate them. i was just wondering if it was poisonous or would harm her in any way?

Answer:

Yes, you could. It's over all strength might be an issue how ever. Light concrete is made from aggregate that has been heated to about 2000 degrees. Bubbles from the gases in the rocks form, and this causes the concrete that is made with it to weigh less.
Yes. Lightweight concrete is made with lightweight aggregate. A few lightweight concrete's are made with lightweight sand. However lightweight sand is a rarity. Cheers and good luck!
