I have 00 yamaha r6 with dunlop qualifier tires.Today when i did a hard brake at 50ish miles, my rear started fishtailing and skid toward one side, and i reapply the brake and kinda got the bike straight but i was out of the line at the red light, lucky it just turned red from yellow.What could be the problem? Tires or brake?

I dont think there is a problem with your bike, or your riding skills.I think the problem is that you had to hard brake from 50ish miles per hour. To the guy who said NO WAY should the back tire lock up if you use proper pressure.oh yeah? I bet if a deer runs out in front of you on a back road you lock that back tire up!!! Listen bro, even if you used the correct front/rear brake pressure.having to hard stop from 50ish miles per hour, a few things will happen the front end will squat, and the rear will raise, the tail will become extremely light and yeah the back tire will lock up. There is nothing wrong with your bike or your riding skills.its not like you are saying it does this all the time, it was one instance where you had to get on the brakes hard from 50ish miles per hour.it happens. Keep her right side up, headlight forward, and in between the lines!!!
Any significant reduction in speed will cause the front to dive and rear to get light. There's no weight on that back tire so it will lock up pretty easy. Sounds like a normal reaction. I don't know why you had to lock it up but it did what it was supposed to do. In crisis, 90% of us would lock it down to avoid danger.
Your GPS is not made of self-replicating chemicals. Your body is. Your false analogy will not help your case for an intelligent designer. Mutation alone doesn't bring about species. The problem is YOU, squidling. You don't know how to brake properly, and you use your rear brake WAAAAAAY too much. There's a reason it's called the Highside Lever, and you are on your way to finding that out.
