I have had the airbag module replaced with a new one and have tested the sensors also. they aren‘t the problem so what else could it be? The light obviously prevents the airbags from working and if it can‘t be fixed soon i‘ll have to give it up.
The air bag light being on does not mean that the system will not deploy. It is entirely dependant on what the code is and what the problem is. You need to take your vehicle to a dealer and ask if they can let you know what the code is. A dealer is your best bet.
The airbag indicator light may actually be telling you that if you haver an accident the airbag will not deploy DO NOT ATTEMPT to repair anything to do with airbags yourself, WHY? #1 it could deploy and if you are in the car and it hits you as it inflates it will break your neck or at least injure you #2 you have no idea whether it will actually work if you are in a crash KIA are responsible under waranty for the airbag so long as you have not voided the warranty - the car will fail the MOT if the light does not illuminate then extinguish As much of a pain as it is leave airbags to the main dealers, they are NOT a DIY service item
