Question:

My bicycle kept making an odd cracking noise about an hour and a half after I started MTBiking.?

I thought it was my Bottom bracket but it only make the noise for about 10 minutes and it would make it when the bike would sag down(like if I sat down on it or landed after a log or something) and then I didn‘t hear it for about 2 hours of riding after that. Is my bike good? What may it be?

Answer:

Ugh.check your frame very carefully for cracks. I had one like this where I thought it was the crankarm or bottom bracketdid everything I could think of over the course of a couple weeks but it still made that popping noise. Then one day coming up out of a creek drop in.POP. My front derailleur shifted to the big ring, which I thought was weird uldn't figure out why. Then I noticed that the weld on the lower part of my seat tube had blownstraight across the tube. Oops. When the tube separated, the rear shock was able to expand and pull the derailleur cable to shift gears. Weird. Anyway Look very closely at all tube junctions and welds. Sometimes the sounds travel a long way, so check the head tube area closely, too. Cracked or bulged paint might point something out. If your frame is anodized, sometimes smearing some dust will make a crack visible. Pay special attention the the right chainstay, too. If the frame looks ok, then maybe grease your seatpost, remove your cranks, grease the bottom bracket cups and retighten, reinstall the cranks and grease the interface, and check your chainring bolts for tightness. Occasionally saddle rails will creak, too. Hopefully it's something like that and not the frame. If your frame is dead, you can probably get a discounted crash replacement frame from the manufacturer or perhaps they'll replace it under warranty. Good luck!
U dont describe the noise adequatly,is it moaning groaning that ought to point inner discomfort,or is it grinding its teeth which lower back ought to point extreme discomfort. Its previous clinical historical past ought to point inner intestine issues.U dont point out its age, lifespan of a chinese language is approximately 2yrs.The weightgain from the severe care hasnot been maintained lower back indicating a accessible intestine undertaking.intestine issues can b led to with the aid of micro organism alongside with ecoli or it ought to b a one off intestine an infection or previous age.U r of course asking 4 a 2nd opinion becoz the vet isnt telling u adequate, pass bak ask 4 extra guidance on accessible motives wot u can attempt 2 help so as that u understand the placement extra ideal.
Is this a full-suspension bike? I had a full-suspension bike and I had a devil of a time hunting down the various noises, including that wierd creaking and pinging noise whenever I put weight on it. It was hard to hunt down the noise because my MTB has an aluminum frame (which transmits noise very well and makes it hard to tell where the noise is coming from). Turned out it was the pivot points of the rear suspension system causing the noises. Putting some teflon grease onto the bushings and retention bolts solved the creaking and pinging whenever the suspension system had to flex. I had to disassemble and lube those pivot points (including the ones on the shock) every couple of months to prevent the noise from coming back. Do beware that if your bike has a large plastic center pivot assembly, you are not supposed to lube it (a lube might cause the plastic to loosen). So be careful and think it through before doing anything. If you have a hardtail bike and it's making those creaking or pinging noises, something may be wrong with the frame. You want to inspect it carefully for any fatigue hairline cracks.
