My car alarm will not turn off the key part is broken how do i drive my car?
avoid Benz from 1996 thru 2004. Avoid diesels from 1990 to 1995. other years are great.
on some cars if you just start the car it will kill the alarm. if that dosnt work then try unhooking the battery for a minuet or 2 and see if that fixes it.
i wouldnt buy the 97 E420, i would be safe and go with the 98 E430. More reliable better engine. 97 was the only year for the newer body style 420.
Avoid Mercedes. My mother has two and has spent as much on the repairs as she did on the cost of the cars. Example: I spent about $50 to replace the muffler on my Chevy. My mother spent $800 to replace her muffler. Also, Mercedes went through this phase in the 90's to make their cars affordable for everyone. They ended up sacrificing quality to lower their prices and sell more cars. They took a big hit because of it and now they're suffering the consequences of selling lower quality in exchange for higher quantity.
1. Open bonnet of your car. 2. With the help of simple screw driver you can disconnect alarm speaker. You just need to remove one of two wire connections provided to it. 3. If you find it hard to locate the horn, you can just do ignition on and it will start alarm so that you can easily locate. 4. Don't play with switch by yourself, because if you are looking into it first time its hard to judge its side effects. 5. After disconnecting alarm go to mechanic and get that faulty switch replaced and connect the alarm back. Best luck and Regards.
