I got a digital camera a week ago and I when I first tried to connect my camera to the computer it wouldn't work, I have all the right requirements. I called the people from Canon and they said to get a card reader. So I did and it still doesn't work and whenever I put it in the back USB ports, most of the time my computer freezes. My computer recognizes the USB ports when I connect the digital camera to my computer, it just doesn't work. Though a while ago there was a power outage and after that, my computer got messed up and I had to get some new parts so maybe that is the reason. I am pretty sure the usb ports worked back then.But if that is the reason and I need to get new parts for my computer, will it be worth buying?I have a windows XP and I have had it for four and a half years
Rebuild the hardware and software drivers for your USB ports. Go to control program, system, hardware tab, device manager. Expand the listings under universal serial bus and right click on each one and select uninstall. Some may not have that options so do nothing with those. Restart the PC and it will rebuild the drivers.
