Question:

my pt cruisers egr system went out?

i got it fixed recently but will anything else need to be fixed immediately following?

Answer:

The egr is an expansive part, also check to make sure the spark plugs are not fouled out. because the egr was bad it could have made your car's computer compensate either really rich or really lean, also make sure to have your suspension system checked out for any possible damaged done buy hitting the snow bank
EGR is just the exhaust return. Chrysler/Dodge is infamous for this sensor malfunctioning. Generally when the light comes on all they do is reset it. For this they charge you $50 to $100 dollars. If you just had it fixed and it doesn't appear to be a problem, I'd just drive your car and ignore the light. I had a Dodge Dakota that kept tripping the light and I drove for years with the EGR light on. If you do keep taking it in they should not charge you each time if it is just a faulty sensor.
locate the brain to the alarm and pull the fuse. all systems will go back to normal. at that point you should be able to start and drive again.
look for override button under dash
