Need help with a cold air intake for my car?

Answer:

I actually have a 2003 Nissan 350Z and that i put in a funky air intake in my vehicle, what it does is stress cool air into the engine so the engine would not get to warm which aids the automobile in having extra horsepower. they actually do artwork nicely as long as you purchase a good intake device. I even have extra 12-15 horse to my vehicle, it may no longer appear like alot yet you do experience it!
sorry there but please do not waste money on this junk, it does not do what it claims, there have been many reported problems with cold air intakes because nothing bolt on will add 50 horse power, what it does do is take the stock air box out so you can hear the intake sucking air, this sound does not equate to horsepower. In fact your car has a cold air intake from the factory already it goes to the inner fender and is quiet. save your money, and same thing goes for those power chips, none of this junk does what it claims. Talk to your mechanic, and see what he has to say, keep this in mind, if any of this junk worked, it would be on all the new cars that come out too. Anything you do to make your engine work harder, also makes it wear out sooner, you can build and engine with a turbo and make some good honest horsepower.
I wouldn't waste your money, you will not feel or notice any gains in horsepower, you would really need to add 40-50 hp, to feel anything, I would save up and buy nitrous or a supercharger. Or if you bought and add a bunch of little things, but you are probably looking at $1000 or so to feel minimal results.
